Dr Ntina Kourmousi is a Laboratory Teaching Staff Member of the Department of Education of the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE), on the subject of “Promotion of health and psychosocial health in education”.  She also teaches the subject of “Development of Individual and Social Skills” in the postgraduate study program “Child and Adolescent Health” of the Department of Public Health Policy of the University of West Attica (former National School of Public Health).

She holds a master’s degrees from the National School of Public Health on “Applied Public Health” and one from the Medical School of the University of Athens on “Stress Management and Health Promotion”, while her doctoral thesis for the University of Ioannina is about personal and social skills’ school programs within the context of Health Education.

She has served as a teacher and as a Coordinator of Health Education in primary education, and she also has taught “Health Education” and “Mental Health Promotion” at the Departments of Preschool Education of the University of Athens and the University of Ioannina, and “Stress Management for Adults and Children” at the School for Kindergarten Teachers of the Department of Preschool Education of the University of Athens.

She is the author of the school (K and Elementary) social-emotional learning programs “Steps for Life”, and of other books related to school mental health promotion. She has also authored articles for reputable scientific journals on topics related to the mental health of students and teachers.

Her research and educational work focuses on subjects related to the socio-emotional skills of students and teachers.
