The Department of Public Health Policy, School of Public Health, University of West Attica with the educational tradition of 95 years of the National School of Public Health (NSPH), experienced faculty and advanced know-how in the organization of postgraduate studies in Public Health, organizes since the winter fall of 2020-2021 the MSc. Program entitled: «MSc in Public Health» with 120 ECTS και three (3) Specializations:

General Information

The Postgraduate Program MSc. in Public Health organized by the Dept. of Public Health Policy aims to the postgraduate education in the field of Public Health Science, which focuses on disease prevention, health promotion and improvement of the quality of life and the wellbeing of the population. MSc. in Public Health is a highly-qualified program for students who are looking for a study to provide a competitive edge in building a career. It is a highly focused combination of tuition and professional development activities built around the needs of the students in consultation with the student Tutors.

 

 

Dept. of Public Health Policy

The Department of Public Health Policy, School of Public Health, University of West Attica was established in 2019, however it originates and succeeds the National School of Public Health (law 4610/2019). As a matter of fact, the Departments’ staff working at the cutting- edge of public health has been offering postgraduate studies for 95 consecutive years, providing unique educational experience and expertise.

The multidisciplinary education provided by the MSc. Program covers a wide range of subjects and is aimed at the acquisition of knowledge and development of skills on strategies’ analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation and Public Health Policymaking. Furthermore, the Program aims at the improvement of skills that promote positive population attitudes and behaviors through interventions and programs consistent with contemporary public health problems. Knowledge and relevant skills are necessary in order to enable public health officers to participate in the strategic planning and in the implementation of Public Health Policy.

 

 

Target Audience of the Program

This Postgraduate Program is targeted at scientists aiming at working for government, organizations, private business and research institutes dignitary. Our graduates are provided with specialized knowledge in Public health protection, prevention and furtherance being able to contribute in process of Public health and Public services modernizing.
