Anastasia Bimpa was born in Athens Greece. She has being working as a Laboratory Technician since 1996 in the Department of Parasitology, Entomology and Tropical diseases of the National School of Public Health (NSPH). She has continued working in the Unit of Parasitic and Tropical diseases of the Laboratory for the Surveillance of Infectious Diseases when NSPH merged with the University of West Attika under the new name of “Department of Public Health Policies” in 2019. Since July 2022, she has being appointed as a member of Technical Laboratory Staff (ETEP) in the Unit of Laboratory Surveillance of Parasitic and Tropical Infections of the same Department. She holds an MSc in Environmental Communication and Health Promotion (2022) from the School of Public Health of the University of West Attica.
She has many years of working experience in the subjects of emerging infectious and parasitic diseases with focus on Public Health and the Environment. She has participated in laboratory educational sessions of post-graduate students of the NSPH in the programs of “Applied Public Health”, “Public Health” and “Public Health-Infectious Diseases”. She has also participated in seminars for Biopathologists, supporting the subject of Laboratory Diagnosis of Malaria, as well as in the Laboratory Training on the Diagnosis of Parasitic Infections for Biopathologists in NSPH. She has participated in published scientific papers in international journals and has presentations in national and international conferences.
